**Special Abilities:**

– **Incorporeal Movement:** The Shadow Wraith can move through other creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain. It takes 5 (1d10) force damage if it ends its turn inside an object.

– **Aura of Despair:** Creatures within 10 feet of the Shadow Wraith must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened until the end of their next turn.

**Actions:**

– **Multiattack:** The Shadow Wraith makes two attacks with its Shadow Touch.

– **Shadow Touch:** Melee Spell Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (3d8) necrotic damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or have their maximum hit points reduced by an amount equal to the necrotic damage taken until a long rest.

– **Horrifying Visage (Recharge 5-6):** Each creature of the Shadow Wraith's choice within 30 feet must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened for 1 minute. A frightened target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

**Description:** The Shadow Wraith is a malevolent spirit born from the anguish of those who died in despair. It drifts silently through the shadows, seeking to drain the life force of the living. In combat, it uses its incorporeal nature to evade attacks and strike from the darkness, instilling fear in its foes. The Wraith often targets those who are already weakened or frightened, reveling in their suffering. Its presence is marked by a chilling aura that saps the courage of even the bravest adventurers.
