Tier 2 – Whispers of the Void A Quest in Eldenwood

**Tier 2 play**

In the vibrant realm of Eldoria, where the skies shimmer with the hues of magic and the air is thick with the scent of adventure, a peculiar disturbance has caught the attention of the local guilds. The town of Eldenwood, nestled at the edge of the Whispering Woods, has been plagued by a series of mysterious disappearances. Villagers whisper of shadowy figures lurking in the night, and rumors of a hidden cult dedicated to the ancient deity of the Void have begun to spread like wildfire.

As the party arrives in Eldenwood, they are greeted by a sense of unease. The streets, once bustling with life, now echo with the hushed voices of worried townsfolk. The tavern, The Gilded Griffin, serves as the hub of information, where the party can gather clues and perhaps recruit a local guide. The tavern keeper, a stout dwarf named Brannor, shares tales of the cult's activities, hinting at a hidden temple deep within the Whispering Woods where dark rituals are performed.

To uncover the truth, the party must embark on a quest into the heart of the forest. The Whispering Woods are alive with magic, filled with luminescent flora and fauna that seem to watch the adventurers with curious eyes. As they navigate through the twisting paths, they encounter enchanted creatures, such as mischievous pixies and wise old treants, who may offer assistance or present challenges.

The investigation leads the party to the ancient temple, overgrown with vines and shrouded in an eerie mist. Inside, they discover the cultists preparing a dark ritual to summon a powerful entity from the Void. The air crackles with tension as the party must decide whether to engage the cultists directly or find a way to disrupt the ritual without drawing attention.

**Boss Enemy: Cult Leader Thalor**

– **Race:** Tiefling

– **Class:** Warlock

– **HP:** 65

– **AC:** 15

– **Abilities:**

– **Eldritch Blast:** Ranged spell attack, 1d10 force damage.

– **Dark Invocation:** Can cast *Hold Person* once per encounter.

– **Summon Shadows:** Once per encounter, can summon 2 Shadow minions (HP 16, AC 12) to aid in battle.

As the party confronts Thalor, they must use their wits and teamwork to overcome the cult leader and his minions. The outcome of this battle will determine the fate of Eldenwood and the villagers who have suffered under the cult's dark influence.

Should they succeed, the grateful townsfolk will reward the party with treasures and tales of their bravery, while the forest will whisper their names for generations to come. If they fail, the shadows will deepen, and the cult's power will grow, threatening not just Eldenwood, but the entire realm of Eldoria.

Prepare for an adventure filled with intrigue, magic, and the thrill of combat, where every decision counts and the fate of a town hangs in the balance!
