**Tier 2 play**

In the vibrant realm of Eldoria, where magic flows like the rivers of light and the skies shimmer with the colors of dawn, a sense of unease has begun to settle over the bustling town of Silvergrove. The townsfolk whisper of strange occurrences—cattle disappearing, crops withering overnight, and an unsettling chill that has crept into the hearts of even the bravest souls. The local tavern, The Gilded Griffin, is abuzz with rumors of a dark sorceress believed to be behind these calamities.

As the party gathers in the tavern, the air thick with the scent of roasted meats and sweet mead, an elderly woman approaches. Her gnarled hands tremble as she clutches a faded map, her eyes glistening with urgency. “Adventurers,” she implores, “the sorceress, Selindria, dwells in the Whispering Woods beyond the town. She has taken my daughter! We must put an end to her dark magic before she claims more innocent lives!”

The party, fueled by a mix of compassion and the promise of adventure, agrees to help. The map reveals a winding path through the woods, marked with symbols that hint at magical wards and traps. As they set off, the air grows thick with the scent of damp earth and moss, the sounds of the forest a symphony of rustling leaves and distant bird calls.

Upon entering the Whispering Woods, the party must navigate through enchanted illusions that distort reality. The trees seem to whisper secrets, and shadows dance just beyond sight. They may encounter enchanted creatures—such as mischievous pixies or a wise old treant—who could either hinder or aid their quest depending on how the party interacts with them.

As they delve deeper, they come across Selindria’s lair, a twisted tower of dark stone entwined with thorny vines that seem to pulse with a sinister energy. The atmosphere grows heavy, a palpable aura of dread surrounding the entrance. Here, they must confront Selindria, the boss enemy of their quest.

**Selindria, Dark Sorceress**

– **Spell Slots:** 3 (1st level), 2 (2nd level), 1 (3rd level)

– **Attacks:**

– *Shadow Bolt:* Ranged spell attack, +6 to hit, 2d10 necrotic damage.

– *Darkness:* Magical darkness spreads out in a 15-foot radius, obscuring vision.

– *Summon Shadows:* Calls forth 1d4 shadow creatures to aid her in battle.

The confrontation will test the party’s resolve and teamwork. As they battle Selindria, they must also navigate the magical traps that protect her lair, creating a dynamic and challenging environment.

Upon defeating Selindria, the party discovers a hidden chamber where the sorceress had imprisoned the elderly woman’s daughter. The grateful girl presents the party with a magical artifact—a shimmering amulet that grants the wearer protection from dark magic.

As they return to Silvergrove, victorious, the townsfolk celebrate their bravery. The once-chilling shadows of the Whispering Woods now sing with a new light, and the party members are hailed as heroes, their names destined to be whispered in the winds of Eldoria for generations to come.

This one-shot adventure offers a blend of exploration, combat, and the opportunity for roleplay, ensuring an engaging experience for both players and the Dungeon Master.
