Tier 2 – The Wraith of Whispers (1)

**Tier 2 play**

As dusk settles over the sprawling city of Eldoria, the streets pulse with the vibrant magic that saturates the air. Colorful lanterns illuminate the cobblestone paths, and the aroma of spiced meats wafts from nearby stalls, inviting adventurers to partake in the revelry. Yet, the festive atmosphere is undercut by an unsettling rumor: a series of mysterious disappearances has plagued the citizens, drawing the attention of the local authorities and igniting whispers of dark forces at play.

In the heart of the city, a renowned tavern known as the Silver Chalice bustles with patrons, each sharing tales of woe and wonder. As your party gathers around a sturdy oak table, a hooded figure approaches, their voice barely audible over the clamor. "I seek brave souls willing to uncover the truth behind these vanishing townsfolk. If you agree, I will lead you to the last known location of the missing—a cursed glade just beyond the city’s edge."

The glade, shrouded in thick mist, emanates an eerie glow, its trees twisted and gnarled. The air hums with a palpable energy, and shadows flit just beyond your line of sight. As you venture deeper, the rustle of leaves and distant whispers hint at the presence of something otherworldly. Your instincts sharpen when you realize you are not alone; lurking among the trees are spectral figures, the spirits of those who have been lost to the glade.

Suddenly, a chilling laughter echoes through the air, and from the depths of the shadows emerges the source of the disappearances: a malevolent Fey known as the Wraith of Whispers. With an insatiable hunger for souls, the Wraith seeks to draw your party into its realm, where reality bends, and nightmares come alive.

**Wraith of Whispers Stats:**

– **HP:** 85

– **AC:** 15

– **Attack:** Ethereal Blade (Melee, +5 to hit, 2d8 + 3 necrotic damage)

– **Special Ability:** Whispering Terror (Each turn, choose one player; that player must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC 15) or take 2d6 psychic damage and be frightened until the end of their next turn.)

As the battle ensues, the glade shifts around you, the very ground becoming an ally or a foe as the Wraith plays with the fabric of reality. Utilize your skills and magic wisely, for the fate of the lost souls—and your own—hangs in the balance. Will your party conquer the darkness and free the trapped spirits, or will you too be swallowed by the Wraith's insidious power?

The journey awaits, and the fate of Eldoria rests on your shoulders.
