Tier 2 – The Wraith of Sorrow A Quest for Redemption
**Tier 2 play**
In the vibrant realm of Eldoria, where magic flows as freely as the rivers and the skies shimmer with the hues of enchantment, a dark cloud looms over the quaint village of Elden Hollow. Once a place of laughter and joy, it now whispers tales of sorrow and despair. The villagers speak in hushed tones of a tragedy that befell the Yasharahyalah family, whose son, Abiyah, was found lifeless in the woods, his spirit seemingly trapped between this world and the next.
The party finds themselves drawn to Elden Hollow, where the air is thick with an unsettling energy. As they arrive, they notice the villagers’ eyes are hollow, their faces drawn with grief. The local healer, a wise old woman named Elara, approaches the adventurers, her voice trembling with urgency. “You must help us,” she implores. “Abiyah’s spirit has not found peace. We believe he was not merely a victim of illness, but that dark forces conspired against him. We need you to uncover the truth and put his spirit to rest.”
The investigation begins at the Yasharahyalah home, a modest cottage adorned with fading flowers. Inside, the party can sense the lingering sorrow. A small, dusty toy lies abandoned in the corner, and a journal rests on the table, filled with the boy’s innocent drawings. As they sift through the pages, they discover a series of strange symbols and a mention of a hidden glade deep within the Whispering Woods, where the veil between worlds is thin.
The party must venture into the Whispering Woods, where the trees seem to whisper secrets and shadows dance just out of sight. As they navigate the twisting paths, they encounter magical creatures, both friendly and hostile. The air crackles with energy, and the scent of damp earth and blooming nightshade fills their senses.
Upon reaching the hidden glade, they find a shimmering portal, pulsating with a ghostly light. However, guarding the portal is a malevolent spirit, a twisted manifestation of grief and anger. This spirit, once a protector of the woods, has been corrupted by the sorrow of Abiyah’s death.
