Tier 2 – The Tempest Wraith’s Fury

**Tier 2 play**

As the sun sets over the vibrant city of Eldoria, a sense of unease blankets the streets. The air crackles with magic, and whispers of an impending storm swirl through the taverns and marketplaces. The townsfolk speak in hushed tones of Storm Darragh, a tempest said to be unlike any other, bringing with it not just rain and wind, but a malevolent force that threatens to unleash chaos upon the realm.

Your party finds themselves in the heart of Eldoria, where the local magistrate has summoned them for a pressing matter. A series of mysterious disappearances have plagued the coastal villages, coinciding with the storm's approach. Fishermen have vanished from their boats, and eerie lights flicker in the distance, drawing the curious and the unwary alike. The magistrate believes that a dark sorcerer, known only as the Tempest Wraith, is behind these events, harnessing the storm's power to fuel his nefarious plans.

The party is tasked with investigating the coastal cliffs where the disappearances have occurred. As they make their way to the cliffs, the wind begins to howl, and the sky darkens ominously. The scent of salt and rain fills the air, and the sound of crashing waves echoes in the distance. The cliffs rise steeply, jagged and foreboding, with a narrow path winding its way to the top.

Upon reaching the summit, the party discovers a hidden cave, its entrance shrouded in swirling mist. Inside, the atmosphere is charged with raw magic, and the walls pulse with an otherworldly glow. As they venture deeper, they encounter remnants of the sorcerer's dark rituals—broken charms, scattered bones, and the faint echoes of trapped souls.

Suddenly, the Tempest Wraith appears, a figure cloaked in swirling storm clouds, with eyes like lightning. He wields a staff crackling with energy, and his voice booms like thunder. "Foolish mortals! You dare to interrupt my ascension? The storm will be my ally, and you shall be but a whisper in its fury!"

**Boss Enemy: Tempest Wraith**

– **AC:** 15

– **Attack:** Lightning Bolt (Spell Attack +7, 3d10 Lightning Damage)

– **Special Ability:** Storm's Wrath (Once per encounter, summon a storm that deals 2d6 Lightning Damage to all players within 30 feet)

As the battle ensues, the cave shakes with the force of the storm outside, and the party must use their wits and teamwork to overcome the Tempest Wraith. They can exploit the environment, using the cave's features to shield themselves from his lightning strikes or to create distractions.

Once defeated, the Tempest Wraith's form dissipates into a swirl of wind and rain, leaving behind a magical artifact—a Stormcaller Amulet that grants the wearer the ability to control minor weather effects. The storm outside begins to calm, and the missing villagers, freed from the Wraith's grasp, emerge from the shadows, grateful for their rescue.

As the party returns to Eldoria, the skies clear, and the townsfolk celebrate their bravery. The tale of their adventure will be told for generations, a testament to their courage in the face of darkness.
