Tier 2 – The Lonely Dragon of Willowbend

**Tier 2 play**

In the vibrant realm of Eldoria, where magic flows like rivers and the skies shimmer with the hues of enchantment, a peculiar rumor has begun to circulate among the townsfolk of Willowbend. Whispers of a dragon residing in the nearby Misty Mountains have captured the imagination of adventurers and townspeople alike. However, this dragon is unlike any other; it is said to be a creature of solitude, preferring the company of tea and conversation over the clamor of battle.

Your party finds themselves in the quaint village of Willowbend, where the air is filled with the scent of blooming wildflowers and the distant sound of a babbling brook. The villagers speak of a weekly gathering at the dragon's den, where the dragon, known as Seraphyx, invites brave souls to share tales and partake in a delightful tea ceremony. Yet, despite the dragon's hospitality, no one has returned with treasure or spoils from these encounters.

As the sun begins to set, casting a golden glow over the landscape, the village elder approaches your party. With a voice trembling with urgency, she implores you to investigate this curious phenomenon. "We fear for our village," she explains. "Seraphyx is a powerful creature, and while it may seem harmless, we suspect there is more to its intentions. Please, uncover the truth behind these gatherings."

With the elder's words echoing in your minds, you set off toward the Misty Mountains, the path winding through dense forests and over rocky terrain. As you approach the dragon's lair, the air grows thick with the scent of herbs and spices, mingling with the faint aroma of brewed tea. The entrance to the den is adorned with colorful banners, fluttering gently in the breeze, inviting yet foreboding.

Inside, the cavern opens up into a grand chamber, illuminated by bioluminescent fungi that cast an ethereal glow. At the center of the room, Seraphyx lounges on a pile of shimmering gemstones, a delicate teapot resting beside it. The dragon, with scales that glimmer like polished emeralds, regards you with a curious gaze, its large, expressive eyes betraying a hint of loneliness.

"Ah, visitors!" Seraphyx exclaims, its voice smooth and melodic. "Welcome to my humble abode. Would you care for some tea? I have the finest blends from across the realms." The dragon gestures to a table set with ornate cups and an array of pastries, inviting you to partake in the feast.

However, as you engage in conversation, you begin to notice subtle signs of distress. The dragon's demeanor shifts as it speaks of a curse that binds it to this mountain, preventing it from leaving and seeking companionship beyond these walls. The treasures that fill its den are remnants of past encounters, tokens of gratitude from those who have visited but never returned.

Your party must decide how to proceed. Will you help Seraphyx break the curse that binds it, or will you uncover the truth behind the dragon's loneliness? Perhaps there are hidden dangers lurking in the shadows, or a rival faction seeking to exploit the dragon's power for their own gain.
