Tier 2 – The Celestial Prism A Quest in Eldoria (1)

**Tier 2 play**

In the vibrant realm of Eldoria, where magic flows like the rivers and the skies shimmer with ethereal colors, a peculiar disturbance has caught the attention of the local guild of adventurers. Rumors swirl through the bustling streets of Eldoria’s capital, Eldrath, whispering of a strange artifact known as the Celestial Prism. This ancient relic, said to be hidden deep within the Whispering Woods, has the power to amplify magical abilities and bend the very fabric of reality.

However, the woods have grown treacherous. A malevolent force, known only as the Shadow Wyrm, has taken residence near the Prism’s resting place. This dragon, once a guardian of balance, has been corrupted by dark magic, and now it seeks to claim the Prism’s power for itself. The guild has summoned your party to investigate the woods, retrieve the artifact, and confront the Wyrm before it wreaks havoc upon the realm.

### Adventure Outline

**1. The Call to Adventure:**

The party gathers at the Guild Hall, where a frantic mage named Elara briefs them on the situation. She describes the Prism and the Shadow Wyrm, urging the adventurers to act quickly. As she speaks, the air crackles with tension, and the flickering candlelight casts ominous shadows on the walls.

**2. Journey to the Whispering Woods:**

As the party sets out, they traverse a landscape filled with vibrant flora and fauna. The trees seem to whisper secrets, and the air is thick with the scent of wildflowers and magic. Along the way, they encounter enchanted creatures, including mischievous fae and a wise old treant who offers cryptic advice about the Wyrm’s weakness.

**3. The Heart of the Woods:**

Upon reaching the heart of the Whispering Woods, the party discovers a clearing bathed in an otherworldly glow. Here, they find the Celestial Prism, pulsating with energy. However, the Shadow Wyrm appears, its scales glimmering like obsidian and its eyes burning with malevolence.

### Boss Encounter: Shadow Wyrm

**Stats:**

– **HP:** 120

– **AC:** 15

– **Attack:** Bite (+7 to hit, 2d10+5 piercing damage)

– **Breath Weapon:** 30 ft. cone, DC 15 Dexterity save, 3d10 necrotic damage (Recharge 5-6)

**Abilities:**

– **Corrupted Aura:** Creatures within 10 feet of the Wyrm must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened until the end of their next turn.

– **Shadow Cloak:** The Wyrm can become invisible in dim light or darkness until it attacks or is in bright light.

**4. The Confrontation:**

The battle with the Shadow Wyrm is fierce. The party must use their wits and teamwork to exploit the creature’s vulnerabilities. As they fight, they can interact with the environment, using the Prism’s energy to bolster their spells or create barriers against the Wyrm’s attacks.

**5. Resolution:**

Upon defeating the Wyrm, the party can choose to either destroy the Celestial Prism, freeing the woods from its corrupting influence, or claim it for themselves, risking the potential for future corruption. Elara awaits their return, eager to hear their tale and the fate of the Prism.

### Conclusion:

As the sun sets over Eldoria, painting the sky in hues of orange and purple, the party returns to Eldrath, their hearts filled with the thrill of adventure and the weight of their choices. The realm is safe for now, but whispers of new challenges await on the horizon.
