As the party arrives in Luminara, they find the marketplace bustling yet tense, merchants and townsfolk whispering of strange occurrences: crops turning to ash, animals behaving erratically, and even the skies flickering in unnatural colors. The city guard, overwhelmed by the escalating chaos, has issued a call for heroes to investigate the theft and restore balance.
The players are directed to a knowledgeable sage named Elowen, who resides in an ancient library filled with dusty tomes. She reveals that the Celestial Orb was stolen by a notorious band of rogue mages known as the Shadowweave, who aim to harness its power to tear open the very fabric of reality and plunge Luminara into darkness. Elowen provides the party with a magical map, revealing the location of the Shadowweave's hidden lair deep within the Whispering Woods, a place said to be haunted by the spirits of those who fell to madness.
As the party embarks on their quest, they navigate through the vibrant yet eerie woods, where the air is thick with the scent of blooming flowers mixed with damp earth.
