– **Despairing Aura:** Creatures within 30 feet of the Economic Wraith must succeed on a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened until the end of their next turn.

**Actions:**

– **Multiattack:** The Economic Wraith makes two melee attacks.

– **Corrupting Touch:** Melee Spell Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target.

*Hit:* 21 (4d8 + 3) necrotic damage. On a hit, the target must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or have disadvantage on their next attack roll or ability check.

– **Wealth Siphon (Recharge 5-6):** The Wraith creates a 20 ft. radius area of draining energy centered on itself. Creatures in the area must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or take 27 (6d8) necrotic damage, and the Wraith regains hit points equal to half the total damage dealt. A creature that succeeds on the saving throw takes half damage and does not lose hit points.

**Description:** The Economic Wraith is a manifestation of greed and despair, created from the remnants of those who hoarded wealth but fell into poverty and ruin. It glides silently through the shadows, seeking out the prosperous to drain their fortunes and spread its malaise. In combat, it uses its speed and the ability to hover to stay out of reach, striking down foes while instilling fear and despair with its aura. The Wraith is cunning, often setting traps in economically important locations to maximize its draining abilities.
