**Special Abilities:**

– **Whispers of Dread:** As a bonus action, the Gloomweaver can target one creature within 60 feet, causing them to take 10 (3d6) psychic damage and become frightened until the end of their next turn.

– **Shadow Form:** Once per day, the Gloomweaver can become incorporeal for 1 minute, gaining resistance to all damage except force and radiant.

**Actions:**

– **Multiattack:** The Gloomweaver makes two attacks: one with its Shadow Tendril and one with its Mind Shard.

– **Shadow Tendril:** +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d6 + 3) necrotic damage and the target must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or be grappled.

– **Mind Shard:** Ranged Spell Attack: +6 to hit, range 60 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (4d8) psychic damage. If the target is grappled, they also become incapacitated until the end of their next turn.

– **Horrifying Visage (Recharge 5-6):** Each creature of the Gloomweaver's choice within a 30 ft. radius must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A frightened target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

**Description:**

The Gloomweaver emerged from the depths of Nightmire, an aberrant realm of shadows and fears, after sensing the widespread panic caused by the New Year's celebrations. Clinging to the transient hopes and dreams of revelers, it thrives on haunting its victims with disorienting whispers and tangible dread. Tactically, the Gloomweaver employs hit-and-run tactics, using its flight to remain elusive while manipulating shadows to confuse and frighten opponents. It prefers ambushes, weaving through dark spaces, striking when its foes are most vulnerable.
