**Special Abilities:**

**Actions:**
– **Multiattack:** The Whispering Wraith makes two attacks: one with its Ethereal Touch and one with its Frightening Whispers.
– **Ethereal Touch:** Melee Spell Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 22 (4d10) necrotic damage. The target must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or have disadvantage on the next attack roll it makes before the end of its next turn.
– **Frightening Whispers:** Ranged Spell Attack: +8 to hit, range 60 ft., one creature. Hit: 14 (2d12 + 3) psychic damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened until the end of its next turn.
– **Horrifying Visage (Recharge 5-6):** The Wraith can unleash a terrifying visage in a 30-foot radius. Each creature in that area must make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw, taking 27 (6d8) psychic damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one, and becoming frightened for one minute. A frightened target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

This creature often uses its ethereal form to evade attacks, striking from the shadows to instill fear. In battle, it prefers to isolate its foes, using its abilities to sow confusion and dread, making it a formidable opponent for any adventuring party.
