**Special Abilities**:

– **Illusory Veil**: As a bonus action, the Montecito Mirage can create an illusory duplicate of itself that lasts for 1 minute or until it is attacked. The duplicate has 1 HP and can distract enemies, imposing disadvantage on attacks against the real Montecito Mirage until it is destroyed.

– **Fey Step**: The Montecito Mirage can teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space it can see as a bonus action.

**Actions**:

– **Multiattack**: The Montecito Mirage makes two attacks with its Enchanted Touch.

– **Enchanted Touch**: Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (3d8 + 1) psychic damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or be charmed until the end of its next turn.

– **Mirage Burst (Recharge 5-6)**: The Montecito Mirage creates a dazzling burst of light in a 15-foot radius centered on itself. Each creature in that area must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw, taking 27 (6d8) radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. Creatures that fail the save are blinded until the end of their next turn.

It utilizes illusions and charm to manipulate its foes, preferring to confuse rather than confront directly. While it enjoys playful mischief, it can become fiercely protective of its territory when threatened, using its teleportation and illusions to outmaneuver and outwit those who dare to invade its domain.
