As your party gathers at The Gilded Griffin, a popular tavern known for its enchanted ale, the atmosphere is thick with tension. A desperate shopkeeper named Elowen approaches your group, her eyes wide with fear. “Please,” she pleads, “you must help us! Just last night, my friend was assaulted by one of these thieves. They… they choked her until she passed out! We can’t go on like this!”
Elowen reveals that her friend, a fellow merchant named Maris, has gone missing since the attack, and she believes the Veil Thieves are hiding in a nearby abandoned warehouse rumored to be infused with dark magic. Your party, galvanized by the chance to aid the oppressed and restore peace to the marketplace, agrees to investigate the warehouse.
