Tier 2 – The Tempest of Eldoria
**Tier 2 play**
As the sun dips below the horizon, casting long shadows across the cobblestone streets of Eldoria, a sense of unease settles over the town. Whispers of a gathering storm echo through the marketplace, where merchants hastily pack their wares and townsfolk scurry home. The air crackles with an unusual energy, and the scent of rain lingers, thick and heavy, promising a deluge that could reshape the very landscape.
The party finds themselves in the heart of Eldoria, where the townspeople are abuzz with rumors of a powerful storm elemental, Storm Conall, that has been summoned by a rogue sorcerer. This elemental, they say, has the ability to control the weather and is threatening to unleash a tempest that could drown the southern regions of England and Wales. The townsfolk plead for help, offering what little gold they can spare and their heartfelt gratitude to those brave enough to confront this unnatural force.
As the party gathers information, they learn that the sorcerer, known as Valthor the Tempestuous, resides in an ancient tower on the outskirts of town, surrounded by a swirling vortex of wind and rain. The tower is said to be protected by elemental guardians and treacherous traps, making the journey perilous. The townsfolk provide the party with a crude map leading to the tower, marked with warnings of the dangers that lie ahead.
The journey to Valthor's tower is fraught with challenges. The party must navigate through a dense forest where the trees sway violently, and the wind howls like a banshee. They encounter lesser storm elementals, swirling masses of wind and rain that lash out with lightning and gusts, testing their mettle and teamwork.
Upon reaching the tower, the party is met with a formidable sight: the structure is made of dark stone, crackling with energy, and surrounded by a tempest that rages with ferocity. As they enter, they must solve puzzles to disable the magical wards protecting Valthor, all while fending off elemental creatures that spring to life from the storm itself.
Finally, they confront Valthor the Tempestuous, a tall figure cloaked in storm clouds, his eyes glowing with the power of the tempest. He wields a staff crackling with lightning, and his voice booms like thunder as he challenges the party.
