The party finds themselves drawn to Eldenbrook, lured by tales of a mysterious artifact known as the Heart of Industry, said to be hidden deep within the Whispering Woods. This enchanted gem is believed to be the source of the town’s prosperity, but it has been stolen by a malevolent spirit known as the Wraith of Apathy. The Wraith, a once-noble guardian turned bitter and resentful, now feeds on the dreams and ambitions of the townsfolk, leaving them listless and unproductive.
As the adventurers arrive, they are greeted by a somber atmosphere. The townspeople shuffle about, their eyes dull and their spirits broken. **Exploration Component:**
The party must solve a series of riddles posed by the ancient tree spirits that guard the entrance to the Wraith’s lair. Each riddle holds a clue to the Wraith’s weakness, and failure to answer correctly may summon hostile forest creatures.
